We attempted a move near to Brighton roughly 7 or so years ago but... Winter, scooters, 4wheel drives, country lanes, black ice and fractured bones don't go together or aid a move down south! (This is a whole other story)...
After all these years of promising to go back to Brighton we finally decided to go on a bit of a whim... So trawling the internet for a cheap(ish) hotel (family room) with parking in Brighton... Yeah laugh away!!!!...
We finally settled on a Travellodge 2 miles or so from the seafront!... The last Travelodge we stayed in was a flea pit, but this promised more and with parking for £5 for 24 hrs!... Bargain!...
A 3.5 hr journey later & we were there... The hotel was kinda ok too... Great view over a park, clean, comfy good size room, really friendly staff... (But don't have the breakfast! Really, honest don't have the breakfast!)...
I love being near the sea, the weather was amazing, sunny with a slight chill, but for November it was awesome... Wondering round the lanes with a massive jogging stroller... so many amazing food shops, too many food shops, tons of veggie food available, falafels galore everywhere... & the best cookies ever...
Bens Cookies...
Hmmmmm... So so good...
I had my sights on a bit of Christmas shopping but the two small one wern't interested in that idea...
Brighton is a bit of a toddlers paradise lots to see and lots of room to run and explore... so running along the beach, looking at the sea, digging up pebbles and finding a great playground on the beach near the old pier, with sandpits, climbing frames, toilets & changing facilities & a great coffee shop nearby...
What more can 2 parents and 2 toddlers ask for???!!...
I did actually forget my daughters shoes so yes, she is wearing socks and playing outside in autumn) but she was the luckiest girl alive and did end up with a pair of new shoes, I got a cookie, (an amazing cookie) she got shoes...
It was a fab few days and now back home to reality xx
